With the announcement of the Apple iPad (link), we here at OSNAP.net/MagStand are excited about a sudden leap in relevance.

Why are we excited? Well, our initial goal was to have MagStand operate as your go-to source for your entire print magazine archive. Once we were in the user's hands for some time, we'd take a serious look at introducing digital subscriptions (including single-copy purchase).
With iPad being announced today, and so many publishers on-board, we're moving our development process up a few years by directly focusing on digital editions.

Sure, we're still going to push the Intelligent Relevance Engine (IRE) at hard-copy magazines, but with digital subscriptions and single-copy on the near horizon, we're sure that IRE can help better inform the user to a purchase.

Exciting things on the way - and it certainly helps that we can leverage the same SDK we've been using for other ONSAP.net applications!
